CELEBRATING BLACK WOMEN
Join us in a transformative journey tailored for Black women seeking to grow, connect, and thrive within a supportive community.
What is CBW?
Celebrating Black Women (CBW) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing Black women through fellowship, professional development, and meaningful networking opportunities.
What began as an idea between friends and colleagues, Pamela Fann and Quinn Parker, quickly became a movement. In 2023, they brought their vision to life with a CBW reception ahead of energy efficiency annual conference in New Orleans. The momentum continued in Antonio, Phoenix, and most recently in San Diego, drawing even more women eager to connect, collaborate, and grow.
But attendees wanted more than a reception. They wanted space to learn from one another, deepen relationships, and invest in their professional journeys.
In 2026, Pamela Fann and Quinn Parker answered the call by launching the inaugural Black Women in Energy Summit. Sixty women gathered for a pre-event dinner, a full-day professional summit, and a post-event CBW reception centered on connection, leadership, and inspiration. The experience left attendees energized and empowered and made one thing clear: this movement was bigger than a single event.
Recognizing the need for an enduring community and platform, Pamela and Quinn transformed their vision into both an industry-agnostic nonprofit. Celebrating Black Women (CBW) was born. CBW was created to foster fellowship, professional growth, and meaningful connections for Black women for years to come.
